In 1996, Jacki became the youngest woman and first female trader to be invited into the partnership of Goldman Sachs. Most of her career at Goldman was spent in mortgage-backed trading, followed by two years in the Executive Office working in human capital management. After leaving Goldman Sachs in 2002, Jacki became a founding partner of Circle Financial Group, a private wealth management organization consisting of a small number of women committed to managing their families’ assets and philanthropic undertakings.
Today, as President of The Jacquelyn and Gregory Zehner Foundation, Jacki funds and works with a variety of organizations and initiatives, with a particular focus on women’s rights, women’s entrepreneurship, philanthropic movement building, and social issue media. In 2009, Jacki became a member of Women Moving Millions (WMM), and went on to serve as their founding President until 2018. In 2017, her extensive contributions to the organization were recognized when Jacki was named Co-Founder of WMM alongside Helen LaKelly Hunt. WMM Inc. is a non-profit organization with the bold mission of mobilizing unprecedented resources for the advancement of women and girls, and at its core, it is a growing community of over 300 members who have given gifts of a million dollars or more directly to organizations of their choosing. To date, members have collectively given over $1 billion to organizations and programs that focus on females, making WMM the largest philanthropic network in the world of women funding women.
Jacki frequently writes and consults on issues relating to women, career success, wealth, investing, and high-impact philanthropy. She has written and maintained her personal blog, found at www.jackizehner.com, since 2008, where she has published nearly 800 pieces since its inception. In 2013, Jacki joined the LinkedIn blogging community as an Influencer, amassing a following of over 674,000 subscribers to date. In 2020, Jacki launched She Invests, a monthly newsletter, through LinkedIn.
Jacki is a multi-faceted speaker and moderator, who has addressed a wide variety of audiences, including corporate events for Google, Goldman Sachs, UBS, and JP Morgan, and non-profit organizations such as the Sundance Institute and the YWCA. Jacki has been honored to appear on the TEDxWomen stage twice in the past. In 2012, she delivered a Ted Talk titled, “Strap In: Closing the Gender Gap”, and in 2015, she curated a learning track on entrepreneurship. In 2016, Jacki was honored to be profiled on the MAKERS platform, the largest collection of women’s stories available today.
Jacki currently serves in advisory roles for a number of organizations, and is a former board member of The Sundance Institute, Women Moving Millions, Women’s Funding Network, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The National Council for Research on Women, The University of British Columbia, The Center for Talent Innovation, The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, The Indiana University Women’s Philanthropy Institute Council, and Sundance Institute’s Women at Sundance. Jacki is an active angel investor in women owned companies, including LearnVest, Seed & Spark, Mogul, Apolitical, Wait, What?, Your Tango, and Circular Board. Believing that great storytelling can create positive social change, she invests in social issue documentaries, including in the role of Executive Producer for Ready to Fly, The Hunting Ground, Hot Girls Wanted, and 50/50.
Throughout her professional and philanthropic career, Jacki has received numerous awards in recognition of her efforts, commitment, and leadership, the most recent of which being named to Apolitical’s Gender Equality Top 100 as one of the top influencers currently shaping global policy. Additional recognitions include being a Distinguished Fellow at the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College 2016-2018, being named to the 2017, 2016 and 2015’s Global Diversity List, published by the Economist, named one of the top 50 most powerful women in US philanthropy (2016), the Zions Bank Women in Leadership Award (2015), named one of the 40 Women to Watch Over 40 (2013), The Global Fund for Women‘s Philanthropy Award (2013), the Annual Lives of Commitment Award from Auburn Seminary (2010), named one of Women’s eNews’ 21 Leaders for the 21st Century (2009), the Women Who Make a Difference Award from The National Council for Research on Women (1999), and the Outstanding Young Alumnus by the University of British Columbia (1997).
Jacki was born and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. After living in New York City and Connecticut for 25 years, Jacki now lives with her family in Park City, Utah.
